Weather update

For those of you who live a little farther away, I will let you in on a little secret.  IT'S SNOWING!!  On May 29!!  And it's snowing after about 4 inches of rain!   Now, usually moisture is a good thing around here, so I hate to complain or anything (well, hate is a strong word, since I do complain quite regularly), but enough is enough.  We have seeding to do!  The peas and lentils are in the ground, and will be loving the moisture, but the flax, wheat and barley have yet to be planted.  I guess all we can do is hope for another long fall.  In the meantime, I'm very glad I haven't gotten around to storing my winter clothes yet!

So stay tuned - I still plan to report on the trip to Europe. Really.  Thanks for checking in!

Crazy weather! We just hit record highs in Ottawa for May - 35.9C on Wednesday... more or less back to normal now, but people in apartment buildings were baking (lots of building A/C not switched over yet), and in Gatineau municipal water levels were so low that they closed all the government offices, and banned watering.
