We won!!

The Midgets won the Provincial Northern Final series!  It was an amazing game Saturday night. There must have been 500 people in the old barn.  What a night!  Arborfield was up 2 goals from the first game, and they scored early in the game to put them up by three.  But the Thunder turned on the heat and won the game 5 - 1.  I cheered and hollered more than I have all year, and even scared my little brother, Rob, who came out to watch his nephews.  (Well, nephew, since Adam didn't even get one shift.  But that's another post for another time!)   When I was done cheering, I cried.  I was so proud of the team for playing so well.  And they were so happy!

So we are off to Davidson for the Finals on Sunday, after they come here for Game 1 on Friday.  Should be another great series, if my heart can take it!

We also got to meet baby Avery Victoria on Saturday.  Bobbi had everyone over in the afternoon to get a look at Don & Tracy's first, and she is a cutie!  They did well.  Don is one proud papa, and can he ever swaddle that little thing.  She's going to be fun at the reunion this summer.

So that's it for today.  I have a hockey game to arrange.  I can get you in for free if you want to come!!

Thanks for stopping in!

Chandra

It was indeed a lot of fun to be there. Stephen is sure a great hockey player, although the girls seemed to be calling Adam's name quite a bit. I don't know who is getting the better end of the deal.

Unfortunately, I'll be in Banff for the weekend so I won't be able to see either game. I expect up-to-the-minute updates on this blog.

Rob, I'm afraid with expectations that high, you are going to be sorely disappointed. I can text you, though, if you'd like!

Congratulations on your boys' win!

(Just curious though....Is Tisdale/Arborfield in northern SK? I used to live in Buffalo Narrows and I thought that was north.)

Well, anonymous, the Saskatchewan Hockey Association divides the province into north and south divisions for playoffs. Arborfield, and Kerrobert, are in the north in that sense!
